maxtor 160 Gb / lba48 dma


salve ho appena comprato un harddisk da 160 Gb della maxtor (plus 9).
all'avvio del kernel mi dice che:
hdb: cannot use LBA48 DMA - PIO mode will be used for accessing sectors > 268435456
il mio bios è aggiornato e supporta lba48 ma non so' cosa devo modificare nel bios. ho provato a passare da lba a large nella configurazione dell'harddisk, ma non è cambiato niente.
cosa mi cosigliate di fare?
